Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 8, 2026

1. Introduction

BaseBuzz ("we," "us," or "our") operates the basebuzz.in website and Farcaster mini app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Wallet addresses: When you connect a wallet, we receive your public blockchain address. We do not have access to your private keys or seed phrases.

Farcaster profile data: If you access BaseBuzz through a Farcaster client, we receive your public Farcaster ID (FID), username, display name, and profile picture URL as provided by the Farcaster SDK.

On-chain activity: We read publicly available blockchain data (swaps, deposits, NFT mints) from the Base network to compute your BuzzScore. This data is already public on the blockchain.

Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the Service. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Information

  • To compute and display your BuzzScore and reputation data
  • To enable token distribution via Merkle proof verification
  • To send notifications if you opt in via the Farcaster mini app
  • To improve and maintain the Service

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with infrastructure providers (RPC nodes, hosting) as necessary to operate the Service. All blockchain data we read is already publicly available.

5. Data Storage & Security

We store minimal data server-side. Wallet connection state is stored locally in your browser via cookies. We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data we process.

6. Your Rights

You can disconnect your wallet at any time to stop data association. Since BuzzScore is computed from public blockchain data, on-chain activity remains publicly visible regardless of your use of our Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party protocols including Morpho vaults, and uses RPC providers to read blockchain data. These services have their own privacy policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
